50 Dresses by Tess Vigil is located in Denver's RiNo Art District.
Tess grew up in Denver, moved to NYC to study at Columbia University, then moved to Los Angeles with Teach For America and taught 6th-8th grade English in South Central LA before deciding to also learn the skills and business of clothing design and manufacturing.
While taking pattern making and sewing classes at Los Angeles Trade Tech College, Tess learned the trade and the business of fashion production working as an assistant for an LA-based kid's clothing line. Then, diving into the ultimate passion project, she designed and made 50 different dresses in her basement. Inspired by vintage silhouettes and timeless style, Tess says, "You are chic! Wear a dress!"
Tess creates limited edition dresses, and especially enjoys teaching sewing lessons to budding makers and fashionistas in the 50 Dresses workshop.
